The Moai 6-Week Foundation Phase changes that: three coach-led sessions a week using kettlebells, strength and conditioning. Every session is guided, so you always know what to do and how to progress while you build strength and lasting habits.

Consultation
Before you train, we sit down to understand you: your goals, your training history, and what's held you back before. It gives us a clear starting point and means your training fits where you are now, not where someone assumes you should be.
PHASE 2
The Programme
Three coach-led sessions a week, built around kettlebells, strength and conditioning. You'll learn to move properly, build strength that's useful outside the gym, and find a rhythm that keeps you coming back. Every session is structured and coached, so all you have to do is show up.
PHASE 3
Review & Membership
After six weeks we sit down again and look at how far you've come and what's next. For a lot of people, this is the point training stops being a phase and becomes part of life. If Moai feels right, you can carry on as a full member and keep building on the strength and habits you've started.

Rian founded Moai Strength & Wellness with a simple mission: to help people experience the real benefits of kettlebell training — not just in the gym, but in the way they move and feel in everyday life.
Having seen how intimidating traditional gym environments can be, he built Moai to be something different. An ego-free space where people feel comfortable, part of a community, and free to grow without judgement.
Rian believes training goes beyond physical results. Through structured coaching and a positive mindset, the goal is to help people build confidence, develop resilience, and achieve things they once thought were out of reach. At its core, Moai is about becoming stronger — not just physically, but in the way you approach your life.

I joined Moai when I was inconsistent and unmotivated with training. After my first ever class, I had never been so buzzing after a workout and have never turned back. For roughly a year I was told to join and I kept using shift work as an excuse, which I now regret as it's the best thing I have ever committed to. I couldn’t recommend moai enough! When I first joined I didn’t know anyone or know how to do it either after a couple of sessions with rian and the moai team pushing me too my limits and teaching me all the techniques, I saw a lot of progression which didn’t make me want to stop. I also loved how welcoming everyone was I feel part of a massive family, it is the best community I’ve ever been in. I’ve managed to get a few of my family members and friends to sign up and they all say the same about how good the atmosphere is. The main reason I joined was I was going gym most days being stuck in the same 4 walls doing the same routine every week, so I want to mix it up abit and there was no better way to do it but joining moai! The owner chopper is a top man so supportive and knowledgeable it's unreal! The team he has under him is top class! All friendly and welcoming and train to a very high level. From my own personal experience I love this place the boiler room is the place to be everyone pushing eachother everyone bettering themselves. So much better then a actual gym. You get lots of help and guidance here with everything not just lifting weights!

Since joining MOAI, I’ve genuinely loved every session. The atmosphere, the people, and the overall energy are unmatched. What stood out most is how welcoming everyone is. I was nervous about attending classes at first, but that disappeared quickly because the community is so supportive. It honestly feels like one big family rather than just a gym. This place is great. One of the best community driven training centres in the Midlands by far. Kettlebell classes with highly experienced instructors gor all levels. Fitness runs, one on one training, very easy going and welcoming club. Give it a go, you wont believe how fit you'll get and how you can trim up in a matter of just a few weeks. Katie, Rian, Josh, Chris and Callum - great trainers. It gets addictive. The timings of the 6am classes, 9.30am classes and 18.30 classes suit everyone's schedule.

Never underestimate the power of our bodies , having not trained for over 20 years I turned up for kettle bell class being at least 3 stone overweight .It was hard graft but totally toxic and I went back again and again and now do 3 classes a week !!!! I’m nearer 60 than 50 but totally obsessed in the progress and continued challenges and goals .But it’s not just about personal determination it’s the draw of the team , knowledge of the instructors and immense community support . I started kettlebells around a year and a half ago, I first started when Rian was at the dojo before he opened moai and have been obsessed with swinging bells ever since . The community is a family , the atmosphere is insane every class , there is no competition between us : just support and love! Everyone always supports you no matter the stage of fitness you are at ! Since joining moai I have pushed my self mentally and physically so much , I ran my first half marathon last September, in January I ran every day , I accumulated 120km over the month & took part in kettlebell comp ! I started attending Josh’s class in June 2025 attending one class following positive reviews from others. I was nervous before attending as the classes looked fast tempo and high skill. I felt I would be out of my depth but Josh & the team have been nothing but welcoming and encouraging myself, and others to strive for the best. Nothing is ever failure, but progression. I’m an anxious person but the classes have helped me build my confidence and connections. I’ve now upped my classes to 2 per week and stuck at these weekly - for someone historically not huge on exercise, this is the longest I’ve stuck to something, that I genuinely enjoy and made a non-negotiable of my week. I joined Moai when I was inconsistent and unmotivated with training. After my first ever class, I had never been so buzzing after a workout and have never turned back. For roughly a year I was told to join and I kept using shift work as an excuse, which I now regret as it's the best thing I have ever committed to. The coaches are great and supportive, they put a lot of time outside of classes to engage with their members and check in, so it helps you make the effort back for what they put in. Ryan's playlist will never fail to keep you going 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Overall 10/10 gym.

I couldn’t recommend moai enough! When I first joined I didn’t know anyone or know how to do it either after a couple of sessions with rian and the moai team pushing me too my limits and teaching me all the techniques, I saw a lot of progression which didn’t make me want to stop. I also loved how welcoming everyone was I feel part of a massive family, it is the best community I’ve ever been in. I’ve managed to get a few of my family members and friends to sign up and they all say the same about how good the atmosphere is. The main reason I joined was I was going gym most days being stuck in the same 4 walls doing the same routine every week, so I want to mix it up abit and there was no better way to do it but joining moai! Rian and the team are not just instructors they are pt and mentors I broke my leg and I was gutted that I couldn’t go but the helped me all the way through recovery and also gave me exercises to work through too strengthen it back up which I couldn’t thank them all enough ❤️

Moai isn't just a gym it's life. If your nervous about lifting weights and meeting new people then this is the place for you. The owner chopper is a top man so supportive and knowledgeable it's unreal! The team he has under him is top class! All friendly and welcoming and train to a very high level. From my own personal experience I love this place the boiler room is the place to be everyone pushing eachother everyone bettering themselves. So much better then a actual gym. You get lots of help and guidance here with everything not just lifting weights!

Since joining MOAI, I’ve genuinely loved every session. The atmosphere, the people, and the overall energy are unmatched. What stood out most is how welcoming everyone is. I was nervous about attending classes at first, but that disappeared quickly because the community is so supportive. It honestly feels like one big family rather than just a gym. The sessions are challenging in the best way possible. You leave feeling accomplished, energised, and motivated to come back for more. In fact, it’s become a bit of an addiction. Before joining, I’d look for any excuse to skip training, but now I can’t think of anything worse than missing a session. The post-workout feeling is unreal – I’m buzzing for the rest of the day and don’t even need coffee on training days. The coaching and programming push you hard while helping you build confidence, strength and meet your individual goals. Even after long weekends or busy periods, the sessions get you back on track and leave you feeling great. Overall, I couldn’t recommend MOAI enough. The vibes are incredible, the community is second to none, and it’s one of the few places where you genuinely look forward to turning up and putting the work in.
